2003 Food Show - Roar for More! Savings Galore!
The 2003 "Roar For More! Savings Galore!" Food Expo was an exciting day, full of fun and savings. Held at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in beautiful Mission Valley, the safari-themed expo was an excellent opportunity for our valued customers to save on common items while sampling new products from the 58 vendors present at the show.
Customers were like safari hunters at this expo, looking for the next chance to save on their favorite items. The safari décor included jungle animals such as zebras and giraffes. We even had our friendly gorilla, Mikey, on the premises sharing bananas with customers and posing for pictures. Monterrey Provision Company employees were clearly visible throughout the show with their distinct safari shirts. Vendors also dressed the part with different safari accessories and decorations.
Tasty food was available at booths for customers to sample, as well as ideas to enhance their menus. It was great having some of the best minds of the industry in the same room, vendors and customers exchanging ideas on upcoming food trends and increasing profits.
Every customer who attended the show was entered in two separate prize raffles, one for the hourly drawing and the other for the grand prize, a paid for vacation for two at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Many great prizes were handed out throughout the show, and at 8 PM, the grand prize winner was announced.
